Economics Club
The Economics Club – Econotize, established in 2016 under the Department of Economics at Sir Syed Institute for Technical Studies (SSITS), provides a dynamic platform for students to explore and understand the practical applications of economics. The club organizes discussion sessions, guest lectures, seminars, workshops, and skill development programmes on contemporary economic issues, public policy, research methodology, data analysis, and economic modelling. These activities encourage students to develop analytical thinking, research aptitude, communication skills, and a deeper understanding of economic concepts
Econotize also promotes academic excellence through policy analysis, research projects, debates, quizzes, and competitions that foster critical thinking and informed decision-making. The club actively engages in community outreach programmes to promote economic literacy and social awareness while providing networking opportunities with economists, industry professionals, and alumni. Through these initiatives, Econotize equips students with the knowledge, practical skills, and professional exposure needed to excel in economics and related fields.

Activities
DIGI PAYMENT AWARENESS PROGRAM
The Economics Club ECONOTIZE conducted a Digital Payment Awareness Program on 30/03/2026. As part of the initiative, club members organized an informative session on digital payment methods for senior citizens in the nearby community. The program aimed to enhance their understanding and encourage the safe and effective use of digital financial services.
INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
The Economics Club “ECONOTIZE” organized an Independence Day celebration on 14 August 2025 at 1:30 PM at Room No D12 featuring an Essay writing competition on the topic “India’s Economic Journey since 1947.” The programme aimed to enhance students’ understanding of India’s economic development, reforms, and achievements since independence. A large number of students actively participated in the competition, presenting insightful ideas on various phases of economic growth, including planning, liberalization, and recent advancements.
