The Department of Arabic at Sir Syed Institute for Technical Studies (SSITS) is a subsidiary department that offers Common Courses in Arabic Language and Literature for undergraduate programmes under Kannur University. Every year, a large number of students choose Arabic as their additional language, benefiting from a curriculum designed by the Boards of Studies of Kannur University. The department serves as a centre for learning Arabic language, literature, and translation, while offering a comprehensive range of non-core courses that enhance students' linguistic proficiency, cultural understanding, communication skills, and practical knowledge across multiple semesters.
