Sir Syed Institute for Technical Studies celebrated Sir Syed Day on 17th October 2023. It was conducted by the IQAC of the college. The programme began at 10.30 am with a silent prayer. It was followed by Syed Song of SSITS and an Urdu poetry (AMU Tarana). Tarana was displayed as a video presentation and it created great enthusiasm. This video presentation made the audience think about Aligarh Muslim University, which was the gift of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. The Principal of Sir Syed Institute, Dr. Khaleel K.M delivered the welcome note and gave about Sir Syed Ahmad Khan and Aligarh Muslim University. The president of the programme, Adv. P. Mahamood (President, C.D.M.E.A) delivered an informative presidential address. This auspicious function was inaugurated by Dr. Sabu AbdulHameed, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Kannur University. His inaugural words gave a glimpse into the life of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. Then came the most awaited moment, i.e.; Sir Syed Memorial speech by Dr. U Faisal, Professor and Head, Department of Management Studies, Kannur University. In his oration, the chief guest stressed about the vision of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan and the role of that eminent person in creating a knowledgeable generation. This function was ended with the words of gratitude by Dr. Siraj M.V.P (Co-ordinator, IQAC)
