FYUGP Committee

The FYUGP Committee of SSITS is dedicated to the successful implementation of the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) envisioned under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The committee serves as a coordinating body that ensures students receive proper guidance and support throughout their academic journey.

The committee is responsible for preparing and managing academic timetables, facilitating course basket selection, and helping students make informed choices regarding major, minor, multidisciplinary, and skill-based courses. It also organizes orientation programmes for newly admitted students to familiarize them with the structure, academic flexibility, credit requirements, and opportunities available under the FYUGP framework.

In addition, the committee conducts awareness sessions, workshops, and interactive programmes to educate students about the objectives and key features of NEP 2020, including multidisciplinary learning, multiple entry and exit options, skill enhancement, and outcome-based education. By providing continuous academic guidance and coordinating with departments, the committee aims to create a student-centered learning environment that promotes academic excellence, innovation, and holistic development.

Through its various activities, the FYUGP Committee contributes significantly to the smooth implementation of curriculum reforms and supports students in making the most of the opportunities offered by the new higher education framework.
