Career Edge-Career Readiness Program
The Career Edge programme was successfully conducted on 17 August 2026 at the Mini Auditorium, SSITS, for the final-year students. The program was inaugurated by the principal Dr.Siraj M V P and then the session continued by Mr. Martin Jose, Placement Engineer & Career Transition Specialist, MRDF, focusing on career readiness, LinkedIn profile creation, internship opportunities, ATS-friendly CV building, professional etiquette, and private-sector job searching. The programme provided valuable insights and practical guidance to enhance the student's employability and career preparedness.
E-Content Development Centre Inauguration
The E-Content Development Centre of Sir Syed Institute for Technical Studies (SSITS), in association with IQAC, organized the Inauguration of the E-Content Development Centre and SWAYAM Course Awareness Programme on 17 August 2026 at the Seminar Hall. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Siraj M. V. P., Principal, SSITS, and presided over by Mr. Shakkir P. V., IQAC Coordinator. The SWAYAM Course Awareness Session was handled by Dr. Bushra N., Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, Sir Syed College, Taliparamba, who provided valuable insights into SWAYAM courses, MOOCs, enrolment procedures, and the learning opportunities offered through the platform. The programme included felicitations by the college representatives and concluded with a vote of thanks. The session was informative and successful in creating awareness among faculty members and students about the effective use of SWAYAM and digital learning opportunities.

NEXUS 26,Orientation Programme for First Year PG Students
The Orientation Programme for first-year PG students titled “NEXUS 26” at Sir Syed Institute for Technical Studies was conducted on 31st July 2026 at 9:30 AM in the Seminar Hall. The programme began with a welcome speech by Mr. Sajeev MV (Secretary, staff association), followed by the presidential address by Mrs. Neethu p(secretary, PTA). The inauguration was carried out by Dr. Siraj M.V.P (Principal, SSITS). The event included felicitation speeches by several dignitaries including Mr. Shakkir P.V, Mrs. Veena G.O, Mrs. Jasitha M.V, Mr. Nizamudheen K.M, Mrs. Shabina K.P, Mr. Shaji Janardhanan, and Mr. Ummer K.V. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Limisha P , making the event a meaningful and welcoming experience for the new PG students.
Orientation Program for First Year U.G Students.
The Orientation Programme for first-year undergraduate students (FYUGP 2026) at Sir Syed Institute for Technical Studies was conducted on 30th July 2026 at 9:30 AM in the Sir Syed Auditorium, organized by the PTA. The programme began with registration at 9:00 AM, followed by an orientation session led by Mrs. Shiji V. The inaugural ceremony at 10:00 AM included a welcome speech by Mr. Sajeev M.V., presidential address by Dr. Siraj M.V.P., and inauguration by Adv. S. Muhammed. The keynote address was delivered by Adv. P. Mahamood, with special addresses by Jb. Mahamood Allamkulam, Dr. C.H. Aboobacker Haji, and Dr. Abdul Azeez P.T. A motivation class was handled by Mr. T. Salim. The event also included a felicitation ceremony for rank holders and class toppers, with various dignitaries offering felicitations, and concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Neethu P.
YAMS Disaster Management Training Camp 2026
The Yuva Aapda Mitra Scheme (YAMS) Training Camp 2026 was conducted by the Kerala State Bharat Scouts & Guides, Taliparamba District Association, in association with Sir Syed Institute for Technical Studies (SSITS), Taliparamba. The programme was held on 20 July 2026 at 10:00 AM at Sir Syed Institute for Technical Studies, Taliparamba. The training camp aimed to create awareness among young volunteers about disaster management, emergency response and rescue operations. The participants were provided with practical training to develop essential skills for responding effectively during natural disasters and other emergency situations. The programme was inaugurated by Shri. T. K. Govindan Master, Member of the Legislative Assembly, Taliparamba Constituency. Shri. Subair K. K. Kas, Deputy Collector, attended the programme as the Chief Guest. The training included practical demonstrations and activities related to rescue and emergency management. The camp provided participants with valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in disaster preparedness, teamwork, rescue techniques and responding to emergency situations. The practical activities helped the participants understand the importance of quick decision-making, coordination and community service during disasters. The YAMS Training Camp 2026 was an informative and meaningful programme that strengthened the disaster-response skills and social responsibility of the participants. It encouraged young people to become responsible volunteers capable of supporting the community during emergencies and disaster situations.
Butterfly Garden Inauguration
The Biodiversity Club of Sir Syed Institute for Technical Studies, organized the inauguration of the Butterfly Garden, along with the official release of the Biodiversity Club logo and club jersey on 6th july 2026 at 11 am. The programme was inaugurated by Adv. P. Mahamood, Manager, SSITS, who also unveiled the Biodiversity Club logo and officially released the club jersey. The programme began with a welcome address by Ms. Aiswarya V. V., Biodiversity Club Coordinator. The function was presided over by Dr. Siraj M. V. P., Principal, SSITS. Felicitations were offered by Ms. Veena G. O., Secretary, College Council, Ms. Neethu P., Secretary, PTA, Mr. Ummar K. V., Superintendent, Mr. Mustafa K. M., Ms. Jyotika C., and Mr. Sayanth K. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Vishnu Soman S, CTO,NCC who expressed sincere gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, students, and all those who contributed to the success of the event.
FYUGP 2026 Student Induction Programme
As per the directions of Kannur University under the Four Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Sir Syed Institute for Technical Studies (SSITS) organized a Student Induction Programme for the newly admitted First Year Undergraduate students on 6th July 2026 at 9.30 a.m. in the Seminar Hall. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Shakkir P. V., Coordinator, IQAC, who warmly welcomed the students, parents, faculty members, and dignitaries. He highlighted the importance of the induction programme in helping students adapt to the new academic environment and understand the opportunities available under FYUGP. The programme was formally inaugurated by Dr. Siraj MVP, Principal, SSITS. In his inaugural address, he emphasized the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the significance of the Four Year Undergraduate Programme, multidisciplinary learning, value-based education, and the need to develop skills, innovation, and social responsibility among students. He encouraged students to make the best use of the flexible academic structure and the various opportunities offered by the institution. The induction programme included a series of informative sessions covering various academic and student support systems in accordance with the university guidelines.

The NCC Unit of Sir Syed Institute for Technical Studies organized the inaugural ceremony of the NCC Office, accompanied by the official release of the NCC jersey and the induction of training weapons for cadet drill practice on 6th july 2026 at 10 am.. The programme was inaugurated by Adv. P. Mahamood, Manager, SSITS, who formally inaugurated the NCC Office, released the NCC jersey, and ceremonially handed over the training weapons to the cadets. The function was presided over by Dr. Siraj M. V. P., Principal, SSITS. Felicitations were extended by Ms. Veena G. O., Secretary, CollegeCouncil; Ms. Neethu P., Secretary, PTA; Mr. Ummar K. V., Superintendent; Mr. Mustafa K. M.; and Mr. Sayanth K. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Vishnu Soman S, CTO, NCC, who conveyed his sincere gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, cadets, and all those who contributed to the success of the event.
