At Sir Syed Institute for Technical Studies (SSITS), students have access to various scholarship schemes to support their academic pursuits. Two notable scholarship schemes available at SSITS are the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme (CSS) and the Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities (PMS).

1. Central Sector Scholarship Scheme (CSS):

   • The Central Sector Scholarship Scheme is a merit-based scholarship scheme provided by the Government of India.
   • It aims to support deserving students financially in their pursuit of higher education.
   • Under this scheme, scholarships are awarded to students based on their performance in Class 12 or equivalent examinations.
   • The scholarship covers the full tuition fee and other educational expenses such as books, stationery, and living expenses.
   • Eligibility criteria and application process for CSS scholarships are typically announced by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and students need to apply through the designated portal.

2. Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities (PMS):

   • The Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities is a welfare initiative provided by the Government of India to support students belonging to minority communities.
   • It aims to enable minority students to pursue higher education without financial constraints.
   • Under this scheme, scholarships are awarded to minority students studying at the post-matriculation level (i.e., Class 11 and above).
   • The scholarship covers tuition fees, maintenance allowance, and other incidental expenses.
   • Eligibility criteria and application process for PMS scholarships are typically announced by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, and students need to apply through the designated portal.

At SSITS, the administration and student support services would typically provide guidance and assistance to eligible students regarding the application process, eligibility criteria, and other requirements for availing these scholarships. Students are encouraged to regularly check for updates and announcements regarding scholarship opportunities and to actively apply for them to alleviate financial burdens associated with their education. A total of 22 Central Sector Scholarships and 2 Lakshadweep scheme scholarship were awarded in the year 2022-2023. The Central Sector Scholarship Scheme is a scholarship programme implemented by the Government of India. It aims to support meritorious students financially, providing assistance for their higher education. Under this scheme, scholarships are granted to students pursuing undergraduate courses in various fields such as engineering, medicine, law, and other professional and technical courses.  The Lakshadweep Administration also offers scholarships to support the education of students from the region. These scholarships aim to provide financial assistance to meritorious and deserving students to help them pursue their education without financial constraints.
