Hostel

Separate hostel facilities are provided for Boys and Girls in the college campus. It has adequate high security and good discipline. The students who are not staying with the parents shall reside in the college hostel as per college rules. The college hostel  has its own provision of food for the students. Admission to hostels is for one year only. Principal (Sir Syed College) is the chief warden, he is the final authority to grant admission/ readmission. Residents of the hostels shall strictly adhere to the directions/ rules framed by the college authorities. Violation of such rules will entail his/ her expulsion from the hostel /dismissal from the college.

The Sir Syed Institute of Technical Studies (SSITS) Hostel provides accommodation facilities for students attending the institute, offering a conducive environment for academic pursuits and personal growth. Here's an overview of the SSITS Hostel:

  1. Accommodation: The hostel offers comfortable living quarters for students, with rooms typically equipped with basic amenities such as beds, study desks, chairs, wardrobes, and attached bathrooms or shared facilities depending on the room configuration.

  2. Security: Security is a priority at the SSITS Hostel, with measures in place to ensure the safety and well-being of residents. 

  3. Dining Facilities: The hostel often provides mess facilities where students can enjoy nutritious meals. The mess menu is usually planned to cater to diverse dietary preferences and nutritional requirements.

  4. Study Areas: Dedicated study areas or study rooms are available within the hostel premises to facilitate academic endeavors. These spaces are conducive to focused study and collaborative learning among residents.

  5. Housekeeping Services: Regular housekeeping and maintenance services are provided to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained within the hostel premises. This includes cleaning of common areas, garbage disposal, and upkeep of facilities.

HOSTEL RULES 

• Hostel is a “home away from home” and therefore, hostellers should maintain a cordial and healthy relationship with all the inmates.

 • Students should abide by the decisions of the hostel warden and co-operate in the enforcement of the hostel rules, failing which, strict disciplinary action will be taken. 

• Students should follow the general timetable fixed for the hostel. 

• Students must keep their rooms neat and clean. They should keep their belongings in proper order. • Students should sleep only in their own allotted rooms. 

• Students are accountable for their belongings. The hostel authorities will not be responsible for any loss of cash or other valuables from the room. 

• Students should keep their rooms locked when they leave the hostel.

 • Conserve water and electricity. Use them as per requirement only.

 • Allotment of rooms is at the discretion of the Warden. Students should refrain from defacing walls and furniture with drawings and writings.

 • The hostel warden has the right to check the room at any time for College Hostel maintaining order in the hostel. 

• Students cannot bring outsiders into the hostel. Guests may be allowed on prior written permission from the warden.

 • Consumption of alcohol, smoking and use of drugs and other intoxicants in the hostel and its premises are strictly prohibited. Anyone found violating the rules will be subjected to serious disciplinary action.

 • Hostellers desiring to go out of the campus shall obtain permission from the warden before going out and register their details of movement in the movement register. 

• Admission to the hostel is on an annual basis and may not be renewed for lack of compliance with the hostel discipline. Serious breach of hostel discipline will invite dismissal from college too.
