October is globally recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign dedicated to raising awareness about this complex disease. Given that breast cancer is one of the most prevalent diseases among Indian women, Biovancia, the Biotechnology Club, demonstrated its solidarity with this cause by organizing a series of programs and activities. On October 8, 2024, a Breast Cancer Awareness Program was conducted, with Dr. Khaleel K.M., Principal, presiding over the event.

The inauguration was led by Dr. Krishnanadha Pai, Founder and President of the Malabar Cancer Care Society, Kannur. In his address, he emphasized the importance of early diagnosis in improving survival rates. The keynote address was delivered by Adv. P. Mahamood, President of C.D.M.E.A. Following this, Dr. Harsha Gangadharan, Medical Officer at the Malabar Cancer Care Society, conducted an educational session on the causes, symptoms, and early detection methods of breast cancer. She encouraged attendees to spread the knowledge they gained to as many people as possible. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mrs. Shabina K.P., Coordinator of Biovancia.
