The Sir Syed Institute for Technical Studies, affiliated with Kannur University, organized a Jewellery Making Workshop as part of their Earn While Learn Program. The workshop took place on 27th February 2025 and was hosted by the Department of Economics. The Jewellery Making Workshop was designed to help students gain practical skills that could enable them to earn an income while pursuing their studies. This is part of the broader Earn While Learn Program initiated by the institute to empower students with entrepreneurial skills and provide them with opportunities to generate income through various creative endeavors.

The facilitators, Thanuja Alankar and Shyja E P, are experienced jewellery designers who demonstrated various techniques of crafting traditional and contemporary jewellery pieces. The workshop included practical sessions where participants worked with different materials and designs, creating items such as Necklaces, Bangles, Rings, Earrings
