On the occasion of International Women's Day 2023, the Department of Economics in collaboration with the Women Cell of Taliparamba and the Kerala Police organized a Cyber Security Awareness Programme at the Sir Syed Institute for Technical Studies, Taliparamba. The theme of International Women's Day this year was "DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality," highlighting the importance of technology in promoting gender equality.

The event, held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the New Seminar Hall, focused on raising awareness about cyber security, particularly for women. The programme was graced by the Chief Guest, Priyesh K., Senior Civil Police Officer, Kerala Police, who delivered insightful remarks on the role of technology in women's safety and the increasing importance of cyber security in today’s digital age.
