The inaugural ceremony of the Skill Development Centre and the Orientation Class for Final Year Students was successfully organized under the K-DISC Talent Accelerator Programme and IHRD Skill Development Programme, supervised by the Connecting Taliparamba and IHRD team. The event took place on 10th march 2025 at Sir Syed Auditorium, marking a significant step in fostering industry-readiness and skill enhancement among students in the college. The ceremony was inaugurated by Sri C, M Krishnan, President, Taliparamba Block Panchayat who emphasized the importance of aligning academic knowledge with practical industry skills. The function was presided over by Dr. Siraj M.V.P, Principal, Sir Syed Institute. Adv. P Mahamood President, C.D.M.E.A, delivered the keynote address and Jb. Mahamood Allamkulam, General Secretary, C.D.M.E.A delivered the special address. The event witnessed participation from faculty members, students, and representatives from the IHRD and Connecting Taliparamba. The orientation class that followed aimed to brief final year students about the various opportunities available through the Talent Accelerator Programme. Sessions included an overview of industry skill requirements, resume-building workshops, soft skill training modules, and details about internship and placement support. The initiative, driven by the Connecting Taliparamba and IHRD team, received positive feedback from attendees and is expected to play a key role in improving the employability of students across disciplines. The Skill Development Centre will continue to serve as a hub for training, mentoring, and facilitating career development programs.
