Programme Report : Tharang 2025 (College Arts Festival)

The Sir Syed Institute Students’ Union, in association with the Arts Club, organized Tharang 2025, the College Arts Festival, on January 6, 7 & 8, 2025. The festival was an inter-department competition that showcased the artistic and cultural talents of students.

The event was inaugurated by Gireesh Pukoth on January 6, 2025, in the presence of Principal Dr. Siraj MVP, Arts Coordinator Mr. Shijil K, Union Chairman Mr. Muhammed Shanif K, and Fine Arts Secretary Mr. Muhammed Shanif. Their presence and words of encouragement added to the excitement and enthusiasm of the participants.

The three-day festival featured a variety of competitions, including music, dance, drama, literary contests, and fine arts. Students from different departments actively participated, making the event vibrant and memorable. The energy and enthusiasm displayed by the participants added to the festival’s grandeur.

After a series of impressive performances, the *PG department of Microbiology* secured the first prize, while the *Commerce* department emerged as the runner-up. Individual excellence was also recognized, with *Faheema T* being awarded the prestigious title of *‘Kalathilakam’* , and      *Mohammed Zain Bin Saifudheen* honored as *‘Kalaprathibha’* for their outstanding performances across multiple events.

The festival concluded with a grand closing ceremony, where faculty members and organizers appreciated the hard work of students. Tharangh 2025 not only celebrated artistic excellence but also strengthened the sense of unity and cultural spirit among students. The organizers expressed their gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event.
