The Department of Microbiology was started in the year 2002 with a vision to deliver quality education in most modern and recent science disciplines tailored specifically for the educationally backward north Malabar region. The idea was to enable people of this region make use of the massive career potentials offered by these progressing science arenas. The courses are premeditated to mould such professional Microbiologists to cope with the competency and aptitude demanded by the modern Science sectors globally. Till date, 18 batches of undergraduates and 16 batches of Post graduates have successfully finished their courses and most of these students were placed in various organizations in India and abroad. The program exposes students to various fields such as pharmacy, medicine, clinical research, agriculture, dairy industry, water industry, nanotechnology & chemical technology.
