On July 15, 2023, an inspiring event was organized as part of the Gifted Children Empowerment Programme initiated by the Kerala Government. Selected school children from the Taliparamba educational district were provided with an introductory Microbiology class at SSITS, marking a valuable opportunity for these young minds.

The heart of the event was a Microbiology workshop conducted within the microbiology laboratory. The workshop featured a blend of theoretical and practical classes, focusing on the topic "Microbial World." Students were introduced to the diverse types of microorganisms, their profound significance, methods of cultivation, control techniques, and the instruments employed in microbiological studies.
