On February 28, 2024, a visit was organized to Guardian Angels, a leading care home for socially marginalized individuals. A group of 50 students and 5 faculty members visited the facility located in Neruvambrum near Payangadi. Essential items for the residents were collected a week prior from students, teachers, and parents, including soap, detergent, toothpaste, adult diapers, hair oil, biscuits, bread, rusks, and toothbrushes. A lunch was also prepared and brought along for both the residents and visiting students to share at the care home. Departing at 10 am in a college bus, we arrived at Guardian Angels at 10:30 am. Spending nearly 4 hours with the residents, we shared a meal and engaged in various cultural and artistic activities on the premises.

The purpose of the visit was to foster empathy among students towards the elderly and socially marginalized. The students exhibited kindness towards the residents and expressed empathy in diverse ways.
