The Microbiology Association Inauguration was held on 11th December 2024 at 10:00 AM in the Seminar Hall of SSITS. The event commenced with a prayer by Rasiya, followed by a warm welcome speech by Nizamudheen.K.M.,HOD, Department of Microbiology. Dr. Siraj M. V. P., Principal-in-Charge of SSITS, delivered the presidential address, highlighting the significance of microbiology in addressing global health challenges. The inauguration ceremony was conducted by Dr. Anju Vidyadharan, Consultant Microbiologist and Infection Control Officer at Aster MIMS, Kannur. She shared valuable insights on the role of microbiologists in healthcare and inspired students to explore careers in microbiology. A detailed demo class on hand hygiene was also conducted, providing students with useful knowledge on infection control practices.

 

Felicitation addresses were delivered by Mrs. Mumthas A. T., Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology, and Muhammed Shanif, Secretary of Fine Arts, Students’ Union.

 

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Fathima Aaliya P. C., Secretary of the Microbiology Association.
