To celebrate National Science Day and ignite students’ curiosity about microbiology, the PG Department of Microbiology and Microvision organized Microbia 25, an intra-departmental microbiology contest, from March 4–6, 2025. The event featured a series of engaging competitions: Microbe Puzzle and Microbia Genius Contest took place on March 4, 2025. The Agar Art Competition was held on March 6, 2025. Rash Dhulkarnien, a second-year BSc Microbiology student, claimed first place in both the Microbe Puzzle and Microbia Genius Contest. Meanwhile, Hayarin Shuhaib, also a second-year BSc Microbiology student, secured first place in the Agar Art Competition. The contest not only enhanced students’ understanding of microbiology concepts but also encouraged creative expression through microbial cultures in the Agar Art Competition. All winners were honored with cash prizes and certificates in recognition of their outstanding performances.
