The IQAC of Sir Syed Institute for Technical Studies organized Sir Syed Day 2025 on 17th October 2025, beginning at 10:30 am with the inauguration of the event by Adv. P. Mahmood, President, CDMEA. The occasion commenced with the inauguration of a photo exhibition depicting the life and contributions of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, which drew wide appreciation from the audience.
The event opened with a Welcome Speech by Mr. Shakkir P. V., Co-ordinator, IQAC, who extended a warm greeting to all guests and emphasized the relevance of Sir Syed’s ideals in fostering modern thought and education. This was followed by the Presidential Address by Dr. Siraj M. V. P., Principal, SSITS, who highlighted the pioneering role played by Sir Syed Ahmed Khan in promoting educational empowerment and social reformation through the
Aligarh Movement. The day’s highlight was the Sir Syed Memorial Speech delivered by Dr. Shefi A. E., Assistant Professor of History, Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady. His address shed light on Sir Syed’s rational and reformist vision, inspiring students and faculty alike to uphold his legacy of enlightenment and progress. The felicitation ceremony honoured the dedicated members of the institution who contributed to making the programme successful. Felicitation addresses were given by Dr. Zahira M. A. (Secretary, College Council), Mrs. Prajitha T. V. (Secretary, Staff Association), Mrs. Neethu P. (Secretary, PTA), Mr. Musthafa K. M. (Senior Superintendent), and Ruby Mariyam (Chief Student Editor), each expressed appreciation for the cooperative spirit that marked the celebration.
The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks proposed by Mrs. Hameeda M., Criteria Head, IQAC. She expressed gratitude to the distinguished guests, faculty members, organizing committee, and students for their active participation and contribution to the success of the programme. Around 140 participants attended the event, which concluded at 12:30 pm. Prizes were distributed to winners of various competitions organized as part of the Sir Syed Day celebrations, and sweets were shared among all attendees, marking a delightful and inspiring end to the day.
