The Post Graduate Department of Biotechnology and the Entrepreneurship Development Club of Sir Syed Institute for Technical Studies organized an Entrepreneurial Awareness Workshop on 6th February 2026 at 10:00 AM in the Seminar Hall.

The programme was conducted in association with the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) supported E-YUVA Centre, Kannur University. The workshop aimed at empowering youth to undertake value-added innovative translational research and to promote entrepreneurial thinking among students.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Anu Augustine, Research Director, Kannur University & Chief Coordinator, BIRAC E-YUVA Centre, Kannur University. In her address, she emphasized the importance of innovation, research commercialization, and startup opportunities in the biotechnology sector.

The workshop provided valuable insights into entrepreneurship, research funding opportunities, and industry collaboration, making it an informative and motivating session for aspiring student entrepreneurs.
