The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great patriotism and enthusiasm at Sir Syed Institute for Technical Studies (SSITS), affiliated to Kannur University, on 15th August 2025 at 9:30 AM. The programme was jointly organized by the NSS and NCC units of the institution.

The celebration commenced with the Flag Hoisting Ceremony, followed by the Independence Day message delivered by the Principal. The event highlighted the significance of India’s freedom and the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters.

The NCC cadets presented an impressive drill performance, showcasing discipline and unity. A patriotic song performance added a spirit of national pride to the occasion. A documentary presentation was also conducted, highlighting India’s history, freedom struggle, and national achievements.

As part of the celebrations, students actively participated in a campus cleaning drive, promoting the values of responsibility and civic sense.

The programme concluded successfully, reinforcing patriotism, unity, and commitment towards the nation among students and staff.
